![]() Having a short rod took some getting accustomed to and after a bit of time I could cast DT3 with ease and precision. ![]() It does not come with a case so I grabbed one online since I knew this rod would be strapped to a pack for many miles. But hey, I'm not one for looks as much as function, so it could look like it fell off the truck and I might not even notice. I love the deep red but mildly translucent blank/color and quickly found blue line to go with it, dubbing it the Superman setup (if only I had use white backing it could be my American Flag rig maybe next time!). It has alignment dots for those that like them and is the first fly rod I've owned with single foot guides. Well.I just couldn't pass up such a great deal and decided to take a chance.įirst impressions were, this looks and feels wonderful. Sometime last winter/spring I received an email from GCO.they were having a sale on Ruby Red fiberglass rods!! There were no reviews and only a bit of info around forums saying they are made in China, are inexpensive, and this basically meant they were looked down upon by the hardcore gear-ists. Simply put, solid rod at an excellent price.
